NICON 2010 15mm Field of Glory
As was the case with NATCON 2010, Field of Glory will be peer umpired, as any attempt on the conveners part to umpire would be futile with the larger part of the players having vastly more experience with the rules than myself.
Army size: 800 AP
Armies can be drawn from any published companion book.
Nik Gaukroger has agreed to check the army list for NICON. All list maybe emailed to him directly. List format should be in something that Word or Excel can read or a PDF. Important things to note are that troops are described as per the army list books, and that the army year date most be included.
All lists are all submitted by the 20th of May 2010.
Games will be played on 6x4 tables.
Scoring will use the 25-0 method from the rulebook.
Best Army and Best Sports awards will be voted on at the conclusion of the competition.
If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the pre battle initiative dice have been rolled, their opponent will be awarded maximum points. None of this agreeing to a draw business.
Players are to supply their own terrain and base cloths and there is an expectation that, as per Nationals, it will be to a high standard.
There will be six matches over the three days. Please be on time to start your matches or your opponent may get snippy. The timetable will be:
The convener will give a quick briefing at approximately 8:30 on the first day. The first round on Friday and Saturday will begin at 0900 - 1300 and the second round will be 13.30 - 17.30. Rounds will be 0830 - 12:30 and 1300 - 1700 on the Sunday to give us plenty of time to pack up before the dinner and for people who need to travel to get away at a reasonable hour.
The first round will be with the closest historical opponent, followed by Swiss Chess.
